Things are changing in France. Ancient schools of agriculture INA PG: (Institut
National Agronomique de Paris-Grignon), food ENSIA: (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Industries Alimentaires) and water ENGREF: (Ecole Nationale de Génie Rural, Eaux et Forêts); are now united into a kind of French MIT (Massachussets Institute of
Technology), called Paris-Tech-Agronomical-Section (AGRO-PARIS-TECH); tropical regions section of ENSIA (SIARC) now is at Montpellier-Sup-Agro.
All those changes were
necessary because France has been chosen by FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) to
direct Alliance Against Hungry. So, Darfour, a starved African zone is now under French survey for leaving hungry. Else, France agreed special exchange in
food and agriculture questions with China and India.
This nomination is
certainly in reason of french's food historical importance. Many inventions come from France like animal improvement (HARAS), canned foods and
pasteurization. While in Spain, Don Quijote fought against
windmills, in France Pantagruel, prince of Dipsodia, meet GASTER, master of all sciences and arts, and tasted andouille. Even prehistorical men were good cooks
in France, as we can see in Lascaux.
Today, France's
neighbors, like Switzerland, are culinary powers.

Denmark know-how on food engineerig is amazing. Danish biological engineers (HANSEN) are the biggest producers of starter
cultures in the world. To keep their ecosystem clean danish have proposed to produce renewable plastic material (PLA or Polylactil, see Danish Know-How page)
with surprising advantages for the environment. Some Latin-American industrials took advantage of this technology. Vidimport
(http://www.vidimport.com.mx) pack his
fancy fruits and vegetables on a fully renewable plastic package.
